Post 1-What I hope to learn...

Personal leadership is essential in becoming an effective and persuasive leader. Some insight into personal leadership style, or "what makes me tick", is a great place to begin the journey of designing a style of leadership that works for me and the others around me. I would like to reflect on past and present experiences, how I responded to them, what I could have added or taken away from those experiences, and what would have been the greatest approach to take. I would like to know if I am pro-active or reactive. I want to find out what my strengths and weaknesses are. I would love to reflect on great leaders specific approaches and determine if any of those would work well for me. I want to find out just how people view my leadership and if they would even call me a leader.

As I come to learn these things through this class, I hope it will assist me in determining my personal goals. It may teach me just what it means to be a leader by first leading myself. I hope it will give me insight into the things I can work on and the approaches I should take as a teacher leader. Understanding personal leadership vocabulary is essential to build my style of leadership. Quotes based on experience, and historical reflection will inspire me to become the best leader I can be.
